This appetizing relish is made of garlic, onions, canola oil, sugar, raisins, dates, salt, chilli peppers, mustard, fenugreek, coriander leaves, ginger and mixed spices. This is an excellent accompaniment to any pullao, biryani or Indian flat bread. Also known as Patak Garlic Relish (rich and chunky).

1) Wake up your food! - This garlic relish arrived safely and promptly as expected. I couldn't wait to try it, as I love spicy Indian relish. This is even better than I expected, and now I cannot survive a sandwich or burger without it. It isn't for the faint of heart. The flavor is very intensely salty, spicy and loaded with small whole cloves of garlic. I doubt anyone will remain neutral about this product, you'll either love it or hate it. I love it. I will be ordering this again soon.
8/13/2014: Update. I still love this product and now friends are asking for it. Unfortunately, the price has gone up $11 since I last purchased it! That's a huge increase! I'll check in periodically and see if they've come to their respective senses and reduced the price. I'm so disappointed. I wanted to have a pantry full of this relish, but for $39.95, I can't honestly say it's worth it.

2) patak's garlic crack - this relish is (not too) spicy, savory, complex and bursting with flavor--but balanced. my new litmus test of food-worthiness is if my 8yr old daughter can pronounce the ingredients without having to do verbal gymnastics. this product passes with flying colors.
i would eat this on almost anything:
with bread
with chicken
with fish
with pork
with salad
with lamb
with hardwood veneer.
ok, maybe i'd draw the line with the veneer. but seriously, if someone said i had to eat veneer, i'd grab a jar of this and chow down.
